A few things have been a constant in my life: family, faith, a love for
the countryside, and wonderful people around me.
I am from southeast Nebraska, where I learned early the value of land and
what could be harvested from it. I learned principles, ways to do business
that could be win-win...
Those who mentored me used a portion of their profits toward my experience
and I learned many things. This sponsorship allowed me to do much
traveling for education & 4-H, as well as mission trips with the church &
others.
I came to the east coast in the early nineties to pursue my postgraduate
education, with the plan to move back home to some technical position
related to agriculture… well, I established roots here and am well pleased
to be living in Floyd County, Virginia.
I have a working background in finance, accounting, sales and management,
but I really most enjoy the land itself and spending that time outdoors.
My only son, Christian, enjoys outings on the various farms--I am glad
that he can be raised in this environment. He is hopeful that I will pass
along some profit to him for education and maybe a future parcel for
himself.
I am still surrounded by great folks (the Larsens, and other friends &
associates). I consider it a blessing to partner with and learn from them.
It’s important to me to give support to various groups in the community
and to work with Jr. - Sr. High age youth at church. I still enjoy a good
football game (both the Huskers and Hokies), water sports, and family
time.
In 2007, I married my long-time friend, Greg Wallace, who is a native of
Floyd County. We have our home at “Oak Hill Farm” in Floyd. We spend time
together watching the wildlife and grass grow, and sharpening our artistic
and culinary skills. Greg photographs many of the historical buildings and
breathtaking sceneries throughout the County.
Give me a call! I hope to be a help to you as you search for property in
this beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain region of Virginia.
